1. Loved our first bucket. Not sure Ajax was really thinking about taking the three, or just trying to draw the attention of the D before passing it right back to Hawk. Unfortunately, it would turn out to be Hawkins only made three of the game.
2. Xavier shooting awfully well. 65% at 8:30 in the half.
3. Our interior defense sucks almost as bad as these referees.
4. Not sure why Hurley took Clingan out so quick in the first half.
5. Karaban's inside defense needs work. Shows a tendency to overcommit and then foul.
6. Down 10 at 5:48. Within 2 at 2:39. What a great few minutes of Husky basketball.
7. Horrible call on Newton just inside a minute -- obvious flop by Kunkel.
8. And we go into the half with a single point lead.
9. First half, Xavier, 7/8 FTs. UConn 0/1, and the one was on a Technical on Nunge. According to this crew of officials, we weren't fouled once on a shot in the first half.
10. 15 assists on 17 first half field goals for the good guys.
11. We attempted 67 Field Goals in the game and according to the three stooges, were only fouled on 3 of those FG attempts.
12. Managed to get the lead to 4 points in the 2nd half, and then the wheels fell off.
13. What are the odds that one or more of our guys misses the next game with the flu after Nunge played despite symptoms of the flu?

Wasn’t critical to the outcome of the game but, yeah, that was an absolutely insane charge call. Without going back to look at I’m going to assume that was O’Connell’s handiwork. Guy’s the worst.

Not even one you had to go to the replay for a second look on. It was blatantly obvious that was a flop and the whistle seemed to almost come before contact.
