Am wondering what it's like for the players to travel to places like Indiana in the bitter cold, suffer the airports, security, delays, hotels and then come to an arena--and the game's over in the first quarter. Practically every time. The other team is game but they know it's over, too. And then there is the trip back to Storrs. I know that these kids have probably been schlepping like this for a long time--AAU, HS, even earlier. Still, how do they keep driving themselves at top speed even when ahead by 40? Is this fun? Is this what Geno wants? Is this the game he envisioned?

1) some travel is by private plane, so no issues with security or long waits
2) games are a fun diversion from grueling practices
3) they know what they signed up for when they came to uconn
4) the motivation is not the scoreboard — yes that would get tedious given the talent gap — but in executing the right way and improving

If the scoreboard was their motivation, I doubt they'd be on UConn's roster.

I’m pretty sure UConn always travels via charters. So no airport hassle.
