2009-10 was more frustrating to me. They had 3 seniors. You can write some of this off to youth. With that team you couldn't.

That team wasn't ranked #4 preseason with talk of repeating as champs, having brought in the most hyped recruit in program history.

I agree with you. 2010 was worse.

Sure. But thIs is all expectation based. We all thought this "team" was solid surrounding Kemba last year and could only get better with some high profile recruits. Turns out the team minus Kemba was very average last year and the new recruits have been vastly overrated.

They are not more frustrating than the 2009-10 team.

But I didn't think anyone would ever touch that squad, and these guys have managed to do it just two years later. No easy feat.

Exactly. The last three years have been tough to watch at times, save for Maui and March of last year. However, there have been a lot of moments when you yearned for the 1990's UConn teams which willed their way to victory when they couldn't win on talent.

I would say Marcus and the cowboys was the most frustrating team. WTF: George Mason beating an NBA team??????

That team was in the preseason Top 15 (not Top 5) and got into the Top 10. They had Majok, Oriakhi, and Jamal Coombs-McDaniel coming onto it. They were all hyped...not Drummond hyped, but hyped.

The 2006 team only lost four (4) games all season, including that debacle. They were only frustrating during the season if you were betting them to cover the spread.

But at least that team was good all year. They just started regressing towards tournament time and lost a close game to a hot team.

I told myself all year 2009-10, but tonight just changed that script for me.

Over the last 3 years Uconn is 7 games under .500 in Big East play not including the tournament. I would never have expected that to be the case considering how we used to dominate the Big East every year

this team is more frustrating b/c there is more talent than the 2010 team and it doesn't make sense why we just fall apart the way we do. the 2010 was flawed on many ways; this team, i honestly think, could beat any team in the country if they played 40 solid minutes. but instead we loaf around, show little effort, make zero adjustments, and look like we don't care.

This team has no marbles. No marbles upstairs and no marbles downstairs. Reminds me of Major League....they're s#!tty.

It is funny the similarities between this and 2010 though.

2010--Off a final four, lost their point guard and leader. The previous year's back up point guard has to come in and take over. Very good recruiting class. High expectations with a senior laden team of highly recruited kids.

2012--Off a national championship, lost their point guard and leader. The previous year's back up point guard has to come in and take over. Very good recruiting class. High expectations with a young team of highly recruited kids.

Couldnt agree with you more, this team although much younger than 09-10 possessed way more talent and expectations!

09-10 was just bad, they couldn't by a jumpshot, however, this team (for me) loses because of lack of effort, which infuriates me to the nth degree.

As much as I love my Huskies, i can't remember ever hating watching a team as much as this one!

Personally, I can't wait to send Lamb off to the association, if I have to go through another year of that "Mr Snuffleupagus" demeanor of his I might lose it!

Both teams equally frustrating, difference is that 2010 team was so unlikeable. As they kept floundering and becoming more dysfunctional, you just kept disliking them more as you watched them fall apart at the seems. They felt/smelt like a bunch of thugs on the floor and are solid contributors to our APR woes. That was an easy team to give up on and once the season developed, rarely did you get a sense that something would finally click and they were capable of a run.

I don't have that same reaction to this team - this one is just so much more confusing. It's a more talented team than that 2010 team and a group of good kids that you want to see do well and you keep thinking will figure it out. It just never does. This team just feels like a re-occurring nightmare, deja vu. Like they can't learn from their mistakes.

I don't know if I would consider Stanley, Dyson, or Gavin thugs. Or even Majok.

But otherwise, I agree with you. That was an unhappy year to be a UConn fan.
