Over this season we have been bombarded with statistics which confirm the greatness of our woman’s basketball program. Well here are some more. Between the class of 1991 (BASCOM & LISHNESS) and the class of 2020 (DANGERFIELD, BENT AND IRWIN), all 30 classes have made it to at least one Final Four in their career.

(1) The class of 2017 (CHONG & LAWLOR) become the 9th class to go to the Final Four all four years of their careers joining the classes’ of 2003, 2004, 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014, 2015 and 2016.

(2) The class of 2018 (NURSE & WILLIAMS became the 4th class to go to the Final Four three times. Joining the classes’ of 2002, 2005 and 2010.

(3) The class of 2019 (COLLIER & SAMUELSON) became the 7th class to go to the Final Four two times. Joining the classes’ of 1996, 1997, 1998, 2001, 2006 and 2009.

(4) The class of 2020 (BENT, DANGERFIELD & IRWIN) became the 10th class to go the Final Four once. Joining the classes’ of 1991, 1992, 1993, 1994, 1995, 1999, 2000, 2007 and 2008.

Since winning its first National Championship in 1995 (LOBO & WEBBER) and the class of 2020 (BENT, DANGERFIELD & IRWIN), only three classes’ 1999, 2008 & 2020 have failed to win at least one National Championship. Of course we know that the class of 2020 may soon be winning their first and the classes’ of 2017, 2018 and 2019 may also soon be adding to their totals.

(1) The class of 2016 (JEFFERSON, STEWART & TUCK) is the only class in NCAA history to have won four National Championships.

(2) Five classes’ 2003, 2004, 2005, 2015 and 2017 have won three National Championships.

(3) Eight classes’ 2002, 2006, 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014 and 2018 have won two National Championships.

(4) Nine classes’ 1995, 1996, 1997, 1998, 2000, 2001, 2007, 2009 and 2019 have won one National Championship.

My wife and I really had a great time attending the Bridgeport Regionals. Sat in the Boneyard section, next to Transplant and everyone around us are really knowledgeable about our UCONN Women. Learned a lot of new information.

Two minor additions:

Our classes of 2017, 2018, 2019, and 2020 haven't finished their careers yet.

The Tennessee classes of 1998 and 1999 also won 3 championships.

Excellent post @TWG236!

This is candy of the sweetest kind for the brain
