So the NCAA says that Boatright's mother cannot take money to attend a visit with her son but the NCAA has no problem with Nike making money off of Boatright's name...

EDIT: Kyle Muncy just refuted this here

Name or no name, #11 is Ryan Boatright.

They're not selling a generic jersey, they are selling the jersey that RB wears at UConn. They're making licensing money off of UConn and Ryan Boatright.

I have no issue with UConn making money off their uniforms, but given the vigor with which the NCAA went after Boatright and UConn, it's cute that they have their hands in the cookie jar.

Interesting that Ryan Boatright's mom cannot receive a flight because of her son's talents, but Mark Emmert make a career of it.

The NCAA is worse than a mafia crime family trying to shake down people. They got nothing on Tony Soprano.

Wow. It's like they're just rubbing it in our faces at this point.

Isn't this against NCAA rules? I thought you cannot have an active player's name on the jersey?

I love the jersey though. It looks sick.

It is the website made a mistake. Uconn issued a statement regarding the mistake that no players name can be a jersey for sale.

Taking a look at the copy, it's kinda hard to say that the NCAA ain't trying to make a buck on the sale of the player's 'likeness'.
Also interesting to note that this bit of polyester is was made in Indonesia and is being sold for $120.

Somehow, some way, this is going to lead to the NCAA suspending Boatright again...right after they order an increase in production of his jersey.

You may not be able to enjoy your favorite players on the court while we investigate for ridiculously long periods of time and threaten your favorite team with forfeits if they dare to play anyone we're investigating but you can dress like them in the Nike® men's Authentic basketball jersey while you pace angrily awaiting they're return. It features sublimated side-panel graphics and a contrast-colored collar trim. The stitched-down, reflective twill NCAA® school name and player's number are appliquéd on the front. The NCAA exploiting athletes since 1910 because no one can stop us. BWAHAHAHA®
