Does the NCAA realize what a farce it is? Pretend to look out for the welfare of players, but persecute them over stupid little things (ie Boatright). Now taking away a kid's senior year over a eight minute exhibition.

Similar situation to Miller on Uconn's football team where he had to sit out a year and lose a year of eligibility over a week's worth of classes he took at UNC and never suited up or played at all for UNC.

Yes, this is pretty common.

A scumbag organization that needs to be revamped at the very least. Their rulebook needs to be burned and replaced by something authored by people that possess common sense and an understanding of the world around them.

It's disgusting. There's really no justification for it. The penalty is completely disproportionate to the violation. Draconian doesn't even begin to describe it.

Coaches break their contracts and leave kids behind, with no repercussions to themselves. This kid plays 8 minutes in a closed door practice and the NCAA ends his career?
