[QUOTE="hoopsnloops32, post: 4864421, member: 3464"] Everyone keeps talking about the the amount of players effected but has there ever been a year with so many top teams dismantled by injuries? UCLA, UConn, LSU, Utah 4 of the 5 preseason teams all lost at least one starter to injury for the season. Only Iowa has remained injury free from that group. And, unsurprisingly, are the only ones still in the top 5 as a result. Then you have Notre Dame, Ole Miss and Texas as 3 additional top 15 teams that have lost vital starters this season as well. And then when you include the teams that have lost key players as they rose up the rankings during the season. Kansas St, Washington State etc. And this isn't even including teams like Tennessee who have had star players miss serious time, this is just teams that have lost key players for the whole season. Feels like the NCAA tourney is just going to be the last team left standing at this point as it feels like injuries are becoming more and more frequent. Someone really needs to look into what is going on and what can be done to protect WBB players because i get anxious watching games between almost every team at this point that I'll have to see another player go out with a terrible injury.
