The championship series is now tied at 1 game apiece. The deciding game is tonight at 7:30 at Classical Magnet School. Dyson etc. v. Gomes etc.

A few observations from last night:

Kuran Iverson IS greatly improved. He is playing with much more confidence and assertivness. Very good athleticism, especially for his size. Pretty decent handle too. Has the potential to be a special ballplayer. I can see why his stock has risen this summer.

Lamonte Ulmer had a dunk last night that was absolutely amazing. Quite possibly the best dunk I have ever seen at any level. The entire crowd was in disbelief, as were all the players. Wow, just wow...
Hope to see it on Youtube soon, it was that special.

Wiggins can really light it up. He had about 40 last night...

Danny Lawhorn (headed to SMU) is as quick as ever and his shot is improved. He will definitely rack up some assists at SMU...

Jared Wilson was there as a spectator. He played last week. Already has an NBA body to go along with a nice touch. I believe he will be a very good D1 ballplayer...

Thanks for update. Any observations on Giffey or other current UConn players?

Giffey got knocked out of the playoffs last week, as did AJ. The closest thing to a UConn update was RJ Evans in the crowd. Didn't see Boat or Daniels a the Pro Am this year and Shabazz was only a spectator. TO played though and looked a bit stronger and more cut.

Never saw a count, but Boys were trashed on the boards. Even the PA chided them for losing board after board. Would have thought KI would have reversed that, but not so.

KI doesn't really like to bang down low. He is more of a finesse player. Greatly improved, but NOT a PF type player despite his height.

that he doesn't like to bang is overly apparent. Question may become if elite programs will accept that.
