I watched it this morning. Really good. I had no idea that Brian was actual her stepfather. That explains the height!

This was a very difficult piece to watch, yet in the end the best values within her family won out over the worst.

While I haven't seen the video yet, I did just read the article.
Stewie is an amazing person, in terms of not only her basketball skills and talents, but in her will, attitude, composure.
What she has been able to do is take a horrendous situation and turn it into something she grows and gets stronger from. One could easily let such trauma bring them down and limit or even destroy ones life. As I learned years ago, working with individuals with profound physical disabilities who had to struggle to do very simple things in order to make their lives functional and then go way beyond that.
She faced this first internally, then with her family, and then publicly and kudos to her. I admire her and her ability and willingness to do what she's done and is doing.
She is an incredible role model!
