Mora post game news conference - Buffalo

Nice to see him smiling. These teams we are beating are not good. But they would have blown us out a few years ago.

Jim Mora threw a tantrum about NIL last year and people here pilloried him for it. But he was right. He had a vision and he has said that talent and hard work trumps coaching. Kudos to him. But we have a bunch of games left.

Agree with a lot of what you're saying, except for the "the teams we are beating are not good". Buffalo is probably not top 60, but they were good enough to beat a ranked NIU. Vegas, who is rarely wrong, only had us giving 5.

We won by 44. That tells me a lot about where we are at currently, and how much hard work the players and coaches are putting into this...

We had the second easiest SOS. This is not a good hill to die on.

interesting how Herman’s comments seemed to get the team cranky. Mora did say the comments were complimentary, but the team didn’t like being portrayed as all about the money.

Mora has really built the right culture and while NIL has been an enabler, it isn’t the main reason they have gotten significantly better this year.

He sounds a little like Hurley. Can’t hurt.

Mora spoke the truth last year as nobody else was standing up and saying it. There were many of us on the-boneyard that supported and agreed with what Mora said.

FAU and Buffalo may not necessarily be good teams but they're competent FBS teams that we just beat the living crap out of in consecutive weeks. That's better than we've done in many years.

Hold on. Ya gotta schedule whi you schedule. They fit 4 P5 teams and 3 acc teams on schedule.

There's, Temple and Buffalo, this should be regular games in rotation.

I like the schedule. It isnt tough, but there are limits to what you can schedule and entirely appropriate for a team that has not had. Winning season in over a decade.

Great job coach Mora for getting this team playing the way it is playing right now. We finally got some talent on offense, and we are a threat to pass. Our defense has been lights out, and we are playing better than we have been in a long long time.

What a great win!!!

Not sure where you get the 2nd easiest SOS from but per Massey we were #99 (maybe through 4 games, not sure). Mississippi was at #104 and Missouri at #106.

Missouri beat Buffalo 38-0, when was last time a team would say "man Missouri whipped us but it was not as bad as what UConn did to us".

Buffalo is much better than they showed.
They beat NIU (which just beat ND at SouthBend) and did so on the road. They are solid.
Me thinks that UCONN had a lot to do with it.

HC Mora pumps me up. I'm interested to hear what coach Lembo at Buffalo has to say.

Whatever the SOS is, I could not care less about SOS. Liberty has been absolutely feasting on an extremely lousy SOS. It's not like we are jockeying for the best CFP spot. UConn needs to win and is doing it and is being talked about. Let's keep it going.
