Are the Sox becoming the new A's. The team has an OBP of .352. Four players are over .400 with Daniel Nava at .396. Even Johnny Gomes with a batting average of .208 has an OBP of .377. I was very cynical of the players that the Sox brought in over the winter but most of then are working the count and getting on base.

Sox are winning due to clutch hitting (RISP hits) and mostly because Lester and Buchholz have arguably been the best and second best pitchers in AL so far....
