I live a couple of hours South of Chicago. Trust me, this game - if outright canceled - would not be missed very much. Neither team has a fan following to speak of, and both are chronic under-achievers. Most years, neither team is among the better teams in the state, let alone in the country. It seems odd to me that neither a school located in one of our largest U.S. cities, nor the state's "keystone" (read: land grant) university can build and maintain a high-level women's basketball program.
