I ran into Tina at the Tenerife airport after the 2018 World Cup. By coincidence, I was wearing the 78-0 T-shirt from 2010. I walked over to Tina, smiled, and thanked her for the shirt. She was very gracious.

CD, I think it was, had the great idea to have Tina room with Maya for the 2009-10 season. Maya’s habits rubbed off on Tina, who grabbed the NPOY awards that Maya would have otherwise won.

That works sometimes. Sometimes it doesn't. At Florida Urban Meyer asked Tim Tebow to room with Aaron Hernandez to try to straighten him out. After 2 weeks Tebow told coach it couldn't be done.

Correct - and there's an argument made that it was Maya's assist efforts that went a long way to getting her that award over Maya. That season, Maya must have assisted on half of Tina's baskets! They certainly worked well together.
