Mojo. Do you believe?

Much has been made about "dooming" the Huskies with bad mojo. Maybe it's true/maybe not.

Do you believe that the action of fans, or what they talk about, their rituals etc. has any outcome on the games itself? (I'm not referring to home games, and fan cheering as I believe being rooted for, in person, is definitely a huge factor. I'm talking about the "sports Gods" stuff. Lucky jerseys etc )

When framed like this, it seems dubious, but a lot of us, myself included, have participated in rituals for mojo purposes.

The game was running late and he had an segment on the 11:00 pm news on a local channel
He left early to get their on time with the Yankees leading 5-2
He kept listening to the game in the cab and the other team scored and was threatening.
He told the driver “ Take me back I have to stop a rally”
I totally understood and I believe every real die hard fan of any team believes they can affect the outcome .
I can’t wear anything with a UConn logo on game day
That’s why they call us fans it’s an abbreviations for fanatics .

I once kicked the coffee table in front of the couch out of frustration during a run by an unnamed upstate new york team.
I finished watching the game with my swollen foot wrapped in stretch bandage and elevated on the coffee table. We stopped the run and won by a comfortable margin. For the next two seasons or so, whenever a game got tight, I took my left shoe off and put the foot on the coffee table.
But I don't believe in MOJO. Not at all.
Unless the game gets tight, anyway.

My wife will not watch the games. She gets way too excited watching. When she did watch and they lost she had a strong feeling it was because of her watching (bad mojo?). The guilt trips have led to her having me give her a rundown after games complete with video tape and commentary. Seeing how worked up I get during the game she doesn't dare want to get caught up with that. We know we don't really affect the game but still ...........................

I’m big on wearing the same gear on game days especially during March Madness and I suspect many others are the same.

In college I used to eat Count Chocula before every game. Couldn’t really tell if it helped or hurt my game since I was sitting on the pine.
