So it has come to the end of the season and Moriah fans have possibly five more games left to feed the addiction before what will be a long 'cold' summer of weird threads and wild speculations.
Now for the stats:
YTD Totals for the best PG in the country and her quest for that 100,100,200,400 year:
Rebounds - check - 114 is in the bag.
Steals - 93 - great opening NCAA with a few spectacular steals, 5 in all meaning she needs to average under 2 per game for the next 5.
Assists - 174 - she has dropped percentages points below the 5/game needed to get to 200 and needs a couple of big games (and maybe a Stewie dunk) to take her to the promised land.
Points - 353 - a good first game easing a little pressure but needs to maintain that 10/game rate.

Assist/TO ratio has slipped a bit in the past few weeks - she is now at 2.85 - still very good but below the 3.0 that she had maintained through most of the season.
Shooting still getting better - she has been on fire from three for the second half of the season and is now shooting: .578/.414/.758. She averages only 10.1 points per game, but is scoring them incredibly efficiently. Of the guards/wings out there her .578 overall percentage has to be at the top end - that kind of percentage is typically reserved for a low post center/forward. She scores 10 points on 6.8 shots/game or 1.5 points/shot attempt!
The team as a whole and the individual players are all flirting with records or major milestones. I happen to focus this set of threads on just Moriah, but the whole team is thrilling to watch. They play a very pretty brand of basketball with a high level of skill.

Moriah's ability to hit the 3 is huge for this team. Remember the Stanford game when Tara didn't guard Moriah at all (Ruef was "assigned" to defend Moriah but never left the lane)? She's come a long way since that game. What a season for her.

Yes- it's formidable weapon like Kelly Faris developed. I don't know how you beat UConn if shehits those shots. If you focus defensively on Stewie and Kaleena, what on earth do you do about Moriah, Stef, and Bria?

I think that Moriah has become my favorite player since Maya. She is on pace for a HUGE ovation on Senior Night in 2016 when her name is unveiled on the wall. She is so fun to watch, unless you are playing or coaching against her. She has become a phenomenal player.

The pre-season NPOY watch list next year should include Stewie, Kaleena, and Moriah as no-brainers.

And the thing is since the end of January Moriah is hitting her three at about 60% - a few games ago she hit 3-5 and it brought her average DOWN!
