Only if his coach stays. More like had Pulisic and Robinson out of position or was playing the wrong formation. I can't sign onto the wrong formation because even with 2 DM's we still gave up 2 goals. Acknowledging that we've seen the US torch mid and lower level CONCACAF opponents in the past and it meant nothing, the first 45 was the most inspired attacking soccer we've seen from the US since probably 2009. I don't know if we can survive with Robinson that far inside against better teams but I'm willing to give it some run especially if it means the ghost of Kyle Beckerman style back passes are exercised for good. Weah on the left puts Pulisic in the middle and opens up the right AM spot where there are a number of candidates who are better at attacking than Musah, but he can have chance to show himself until we see what Reyna looks like in that spot. McKennie is going to be the key to this team. The right side now looks very weak defensively and not very threatening, even when the full squad is available. You can't drag Robinson that far, so CP and McK will need to elevate whomever is over there. The defense does look suspect no matter who it is. Poch will need to get them to commit to two way soccer (Looking at you Dest, Reyna) The CB problem is going to be the problem. Ream is still our best option and he's as old as Mike Tyson. The positional awareness of everyone else is suspect. Not sure how that gets fixed. May need to look at less technical or physical specimens to QB the back line. Turner is fine and still the clear #1 but not an all-time US great. Just hope he finds playing time and it in peak form come 2026. Excited to see this approach vs better sides.
