We weren’t supposed to be able to stop Tulsa’s run game. The UGA stats are impressive but I’m losing to much sleep over what a kid does vs Idaho.I am totally in a different place with others in this thread. I thought the spread would be higher. Mizzou has a decent qb ( Lock put up 467 yds and 6 tds last week...250 yrds and 4 tds versus UGA the week before), I cant see how UConn stops them. Only option is to out score them. D is getting better, but UConn’s secondary is brutal. Strong qbs are UConn’s kryptonite.
Our ability to stop the run has been generally better than stopping the pass. The minute Tulsa went pass heavy in the 4th we started getting eaten up. Progress has been made on the edge but the middle and post protection remains scarily bad. Mizzou will be gunslinging all day, and our point production has cooled off as we have shifted to less hurry up to keep the D off the field. All that said, I like our chances because the boys have some momentum and confidence. A W this week would be momentous in locking in a change in trajectory. With 4 Ws, the world looks a whole lot more conquerable. Even the B word enters the realm of possible with 4 games remaining. We weren’t supposed to be able to stop Tulsa’s run game. I’m hoping that Lashlee and Edsall have a relationship in which they have a fairly equal role in making offensive decisions. I’m sure Rhett will see he needs to score a lot to beat Missouri because they will be throwing it all over the field. Randy can’t throttle him too much in this one. We need the D to hold their own and the offense to keep its foot on the floor.

Seeing it the same way. Wanna see UConn move the ball like in the third quarter. Can't depend on the running game. And, definitely can't depend on defense. They played better on Sat, no doubt. But the last three drives were scary and they were aweful.
That's not in our game plan for some odd reason. Must be last hex RedPants has over us. Needs to be exorcised. We need to score TDs inside the 5. Play action off a dive play, throw it quick and high and let one of our tall TE's grab it.
If anything, when we need to draw up a classic 3 yd Diaco play we can’t.That's not in our game plan for some odd reason. Must be last hex RedPants has over us. Needs to be exorcised.
The UConn Missouri game may be close and if UConn fans show up in large number that could make the difference for a UConn victory. Please encourage a big turnout! Cheer on the Huskies!
