Now early in the 4th quarter, Minnesota leading 80-79.

The Gophers continuing their hot play. Wagner has 26 and Bell has 25.
Mavunga is a perfect 10-10 from the field and has 26 points and 16 rebounds. Mitchell has 25.

On Big Ten Network.

Worst announcers I ever heard
You haven't heard many announcers then.

I remember Ann Meyers. Enough said.

Minnesota took an 85-79 lead with 4:40 left but then seemed to run out of gas. Ohio State on a 7-0 run. And they just got the possession, after a long review, with 35 seconds left.

Some missed free throws by Ohio State gave Minnesota a shot to tie or win. But Wagner misses a short jumper and Buckeyes escape with a 2-point win.

Anyone notice Mitchell had 9 assists to go along w/ 30 points? I didn't watch it, but appears to be a very productive game for her.

They never run out of gas. They went into their burn clock offense with too much time left. In other words, playing not to lose. I hate it because they rarely execute out of it. They're a MUCH better transition offense.

I really hate that strategy. Most coaches seem to believe in it. It almost always allows the other team to make the game close down the stretch. If you built a lead, why wouldn't you keep doing what allowed you to build a lead?
