Lost in the Lynx win was Bria Hartlry having the best game among the Mercury. 24 pts and 5 assists and just being aggressive

Fun watching Crystal and Bria kibitzing around a bit on the foul line

She was not sharp, especially on defense but a number of players looked tired so maybe she was also. Brown was a non-factor. The team just does not look good offensively when Dangerfield is not on the court. Well, at least they won and I should be satisfied with that.

So a while back, discussion about announcers brought up an issue that Ron Thulin of CBSSN was messing up names during the game.

Today he announced that Brittney Greer would be missing the game. ??? This is worrisome since he is, during the college season, a Big 12 announcer.

Who wouldve ever thought CD would be arguably the 2nd best player on Minnesota this year. Big props to her. I thought at best she'd carve out a nice career as a backup.

Disagree about Pheesa being non sharpness on defense. Maybe she let some easy baskets (Dont remember that really ?) but had 4 steals and 2 Blocks. Only negative I see with Napheesa is that she still seems to be a slow starter (got stuffed by Turner multiple times) and she still is missing mid range stuff alot. But she is part of every big play when the Mercury would try and trim the lead.

Dangerfield is just phenomenal. After the Mercury shot a 3 to start the game (DT I think), calmly goes down the other end and drills a 3pt shot to tie in at 3-3. That just completely calms your team.

Players were driving by her at will. She had trouble keeping the player she was guarding in front of her. That is the defense I'm speaking of. I am not saying they scored. She seemed a bit slow but that can be expected seeing how often the team is playing. Steals are only a part of playing defense. A player can make a steal because her teammate caused a player to make a bad pass, a player she was not defending. However, Collier wound up with a good stat line.

Phee has to be starting to wear down a bit. She's playing major major minutes every other night. At some point they are going to have to give her some rest before the playoffs.

I feel like this is UConn all over again for her and Danger. Team can't function without them on the floor so they just get run into the ground by the time post season comes around....

Minnesota just had three games off at the start of this week. They looked flat against Dallas coming off that much rest. I actually think playing every other day suits a young team like Minnesota better. Hopefully Fowles comes back before the playoffs. If she doesn’t, it’ll probably get tough for them. But you never know. Seems like somebody is always stepping up for them.

They needed to be run into the ground against the AAC? He probably needed them to stay at a high level.

Pheesa is extremely durable. Last year, she played the most minutes in the WNBA and she just kept getting better and better and stronger. She never appears tired on the court.

I guess it is possible Crystal may hit the wall since by reports, she is really scuffed up but I am guessing her mental toughness is up to the task. Reeve will lower her minutes some assuming her backups give her some decent minutes.

Her leaving the state of Tennessee for college has permanently clouded your Crystal vision! ;)
