Very tough test for the Lynx. Aces playing very well lately.

Fowles vs. Wilson could be a good battle.

An MLB game pre-empted ALL of the LA-Wash, game, may even go over the beginning of this game. Not sure if there was a rain delay, not sure how they screwed up this badly.

They just moved it from ESPN to ESPN2 and they added a little notification bar

I've been streaming it. I don't even get ESPN2.

so have the lynx. This should be a great game

Unfortunately, Fowles comes up limp on her previously injured calf. Does not look good

Collier might have to win this game by herself, although Alexander has a surprising 7 pts off the bench.

Took some work but the Lynx carved the Aces lead down to 9 going into the fourth.

Didn’t know Erica McCall could block shots

I had to look it up, but #5 in school history at Stanford w/ 200 (surprisingly Alanna Smith is #2).

The Aces really jumped routes and had a good scouting of Lynx tendencies.

I would not have realized Smith was #2 in Stanford history. Wow. I'm really excited to see her and Turner split minutes at the 4 (sometimes they play 4 and 3 to Griner) for the Mercury. Sorry for going off topic.

No one said what Syl's injury was. Ome minute on the boxscore has to mean its serious.

Wilson is a beast, and Lambeer loves her. His lineups are weird, with Swords starting, but they work to an extent. I think Young can prove to be the Xfactor later in the season. She has had a few good games in a row, even though this one she wasn't as efficient. I still don't see the Aces winning it all, but you never know.

I hope Syl is okay, I'm sorry if any news came out without my knowledge.

She pulled up lame (non contact) reinjuring her calf. Looked pretty serious being helped off court with teammates bearing her weight.

Collier needs to take over according to Reeves.

Reeve was happy with Collier’s big game; more of that will be needed. “Without Sylvia, she’s it,’’ Reeve said. “For her to play so well, rebound the ball so well? Hopefully this is a game that really gets her going. Because we’re going to need it.’’

Afterward, Collier pledged to become even more of a leader. “I was the only captain on the court today,’’ she said. “I’ll work on being more vocal, just trying to keep us together, on the same page. I need to take more responsibility now.’’

Reeve can be clumsy like that. Not sure how the other players on the team are supposed to feel about a quote like that. I suspect Dantas will be moved to starting center to replace most of Fowles minutes. Alexander should get a little bump up in minutes. McCall stepped up a bit in this one. Everybody will need to step it up to help fill the void left by Fowles. It can’t be just all Collier.
