Since the NCAA Men's announced that all a team needs to play in this year's NCAA tournament is five healthy players, should a team select a minimum of 5 players and quarantine them separately, just in case the other players are designated as ineligible due to COVID restrictions? The 5 players must be a mix of guards and forwards/center.

And hope nobody fouls out of a game. Sounds workable to me.

Yes separate quarantine for Paige, Nika, CW, Aaliyah, and ONO.

Actually a better idea, at least for Covid (I wouldn't actually advocate this), would be to isolate the end of the bench players from the rest.

Better than if anyone in the program tests positive you're out of the tourney. Hopefully players and coaches at the least are isolated and travel separately from the rest of the contingent. The bubble really needs to be a Wuhan style lockdown. No one in or out.

OR injury. The idea is insane. A team is a team. Nobody is going to use split squads. Teams 2nd squads would get clobbered by most teams in the NCAA's anyway.

I think they just mean quarantine the two squads in different places and not literally have two different Huskies teams.

I dont like the trend in men's conference tourneys. More & more teams are dropping out of their tournaments because of positive tests.

Remember what the team says when they break from the huddle: "We go Together!".

To what end? Ultimately the apparent goal is to be able to field a team under any circumstances. If you're not at full strength, there's no point.

To the end of if some team manager tests positive the entire team doesn't have to forfeit and go home and register a loss to South Central Louisiana State University in the first round.
