If she is a 2026, I hope that either she's improved quite a bit or that this doesn't mean the other options for this class have dried up because if they have I think I'd like to keep that open roster spot available for 2027.Coach Valley is now in a mutual following with Milagros Morell, a 6’3 W/F out of Argentina.
FIBA has her birth year as 2007, so I’m assuming she’d be a part of the ‘26 class.
I agree. It should be noted that the highlights date back to 2023 in U16. She was born in April 2007, so she should normally be playing her first year in the NCAA, unless she does an extra year in high school. I have attached her FIBA U17 World Cup profile. You can click on the date of any of the games to watch the match. She also participated in Basketball Without Borders Americas in 2024.If she is a 2026, I hope that either she's improved quite a bit or that this doesn't mean the other options for this class haven't dried up because if they have I think I'd like to keep that open roster spot available for 2027.
I reacted to this new news in a similar way. Sounds a little like plan B, C, or D as if the other options like Okeke and Angloma have faded. Those are likely difference makers, this sounds like the best we can do if we strike out on our main targets. If she is a 2026, I hope that either she's improved quite a bit or that this doesn't mean the other options for this class have dried up because if they have I think I'd like to keep that open roster spot available for 2027.
@darrell FIrst, thanks for creating the thread and alerting us to Milli Morrell. I, too, wish there were more recent videos of her, but I thought she looked like a pretty skilled player for a 16-year-old. I am guessing she came to the staff's attention during the same 2024 Basketball Without Borders event that Blanca attended. I don't know if she is part of a contingency plan or a new top option, but given that the Boneyard won't know about any commitments regarding Okeke or Angloma until they are announced, I think that it is prudent to have options, particularly at the W/F position.Small update: She began following the team page and the UConn school page, so there’s a chance she could be a commit we didn’t see coming like Jovana.
As for post #6, while Okeke is weighing her options, I personally see Angloma headed straight for the W draft as a stash option for some team.
It’s possible that Mili is a plan B, but the coaches clearly see something they like. I’d love to see a more recent highlight package because she looked pretty darn good to me as a 15/16 year old.
I agree with you on Angloma. Everyone is predicting Nell as a top 10 draft pick.Small update: She began following the team page and the UConn school page, so there’s a chance she could be a commit we didn’t see coming like Jovana.

THANKS FOR THE UPDATE ON Milagros Morell!I did some research to find out more about Milagros Morell, and I must admit that I didn't find anything that would have sparked UConn's interest. There is only one spot available at the moment, and with the other names that have come up recently, I just don't see what she's doing there.
She currently plays in Argentina's professional women's league for Nautico SP Avellanada , which has 18 teams divided into two sections. Her statistics in 23 games are: 19.7 min - 7.35 PPG - FG (63/178) 35.4% - 3 pt (25/104) 24% - 4.2 reb. I looked at the rosters for each team and there are only 15 players who are not Argentine nationals. Argentina is currently ranked 27th in the FIBA world rankings, which means that the level of play is well below that of Europe.
I couldn't find any videos of their league games; the most recent ones I found date back to July 2024 during the U17 World Cup. I've attached her best game, with an efficiency rating of 19 against Croatia. The two best teams she has played against are Spain (3rd) and Japan (6th), against whom she achieved efficiency ratings of 1 and 0.
In my last post about her, I attached the various tests that were taken at the 2024 BWB NBA Academy camp. Again, nothing really caught my attention, except that her results are well below those obtained by Blanca and Jovana for the same tests.

It's true that it was Milagros Morell's best game at the 2024 U17 World Cup. However, I must say that I also chose this game with Olivia in mind. She was 15 years old during the 2024 championship, born in September 2008, and the oldest players were born in January 2007, almost two years older. We see her in the best physical shape I have seen her in so far. She was voted the best defensive player of the tournament, even though Croatia finished 9th, which says it all.THANKS FOR THE UPDATE ON Milagros Morell!
Anyone notice who was on the opposing team=== CROATIA!
Less important: Lena Bilic 6'3" from Zagreb, Croatia (sound like a familiar hometown)? Lena now plays for a school called UCLA! And then there was a player called .... drum roll... OLIVIA "THE BIG O" Vukosa, of course 6'4",
from CHRIST THE KING H.S. Olivia, in 33 minutes and 35 seconds, had
TWENTY POINTS and TWENTY REBOUNDS with three steals and three blocks
and an EFFICIENCY RATING of 37!!! GO GIRL, GO!!
Good point on the low shot release. I did not see that when I watched the highlight tape. Geno may have been informed that Sara might not be looking at UConn, so he is considering his options. Olivia seems to be the perfect 5, who can shoot, very well, from outside, but Okeke is/was the perfect power forward counterpart who can defend the five very effectively. UCONN is on a couple of 2027 wing/power forward prospects, Eve Long and Lauren Hassell but need a big for this class to go along with Vulkosa. I would love to see Okeke join this 2026 class but that may be a long shot at the moment. A UCONN national championship may go along way for her to sign with the Huskies. Some things to like on this video. One issue that I
have is that the opposing teams are rather short in
stature. However, Milagros seems to run the floor
well, and (at least in highlight videos) seems to
shoot well/"well"? from the outside. Also, some
of those interior shots, near the rim, appear to
start from a low hand position... if she is covered
by someone equal or taller than her 6' 3" (or a
good defensive shot blocker in general), I am anticipating
a fair number of blocked shots. Is this just another
version of Jana or Serah not keeping the ball HIGH??
So, my impression is that she may be a "project"
for the UCONN coaching staff. More of a WING than
a Post player or Strong forward???? Any thoughts out
there in BONEYARD LAND??
