-- A 10-day isolation followed by a physician’s evaluation, during which an EKG, bloodwork, echocardiogram and/or cardiac MRI may be ordered based on symptoms reported.
-- If any cardiopulmonary symptoms are reported, or if there are any abnormalities on any of the studies, the player must be cleared by a cardiologist before returning to exercise.
-- Once cleared, the player follows a gradual and progressive return to exercise and is closely monitored for symptoms.
Tyler Polley had not yet cleared the final stages of COVD protocol and was held out of UConn’s game Sunday against Creighton.<<
