Liam #1 in RAPM. Strong defensive numbers.
McNeeley, Karaban, and Diarra our 3 best players.
Team has the best adjusted net rating with Samson in the game.
Solo's defense doesn't look great.
Nowell needs more minutes.

Ignoring the numbers and going based on vibes -
  • Diarra - I don't like that he's had to become the primary playmaker, but he's taking it in stride. Scoring package/shooting splits could be better, but he's a really good leader for this team that has stepped up big time
  • Solo - Much better shooter than I thought, but would like to see a more well rounded scoring package (cuts and drives) and stronger defense. But he's ripping the nets from three, nearly at Hawkins level which is insane
  • Liam - Pouring honey on him. If he can be consistent, he will be the best player on the team by the end of the season. Can shoot, pass, cut, drive, rebound, and defend good enough to not be a traffic cone
  • Karaban - Easy to sleep on AK because we had such high expectations, but he's improved at pretty much every aspect of the game. I've come to accept that he won't be a give-me-the-ball-and-let-me-get-a-bucket guy, but he knows how to succeed in this system better than anyone
  • Samson - Tale of 2 halves this season. He started off as nearly unplayable and then turned into a high quality starting C. Needs to control the fouls
  • Tarris - Will compete for All BE 1st team next year. Exceeding all of my expectations
  • Mahaney - Needs to learn the system and build confidence. Obviously underperforming expectations but this guy was a 14 PPG scorer for a really good team for 2 years. We know the talent is there, just need it to translate
  • Stewart - Not fully sure why his minutes are so inconsistent, but is able to do a little bit of everything. If he can improve his scoring presence, he will be a high quality starter next year
  • Ross - I'm a bit lower on Ross than others on the board. Potential is obviously there but needs to slow down a bit and process the game better
  • Nowell - I really like Nowell. Bulldog defender that can get to the hoop at will. Those are 2 really good building blocks to start with
  • Singare - Will only get foul trouble/garbage time minutes, but he performs very well in those minutes. Cash app!
  • Abraham - Will always be room for athletic 3&D. Seems to be better offensively than I expected, but not enough minutes to tell for sure

Agree with most of this.

What are you thinking for rotations going forward?

Hurley is usually contracting rotations at this point, but are we going to try and get Mahaney more minutes? Nowell? Are we picking 1 of Stewart/Ross? Reed seems like a lock to retain similar minutes.

No idea. Nowell has been healthy for a few games and has gotten 0 minutes, so I feel like Hurley has his mind made up on who gets backup PG minutes. Mahaney plays until he makes a bad play, then Diarra comes back in (not ideal, but is what it is)

Stewart/Ross seems like it depends on situation, I just checked and they're both at 15 MPG. So it seems Hurley has settled on his 8.5 player rotation

I feel like Hurley has already contracted the rotation. Mahaney’s minutes are way down from where they were at the start. Nowell hasn’t played in weeks. The bench is Reed, Stewart/Ross, and a few minutes from Mahaney.
