Mid-May HS Ratings Update

The player ratings are in flux as (1) the services update their rankings (including a recent update by ProspectsNation) and (2) my info is still spotty as not all the services have been very forthcoming with their ratings at this point.

Here's what we have as of now:

After the ProspectNation update and before the KLS verbal, Texas had snuck ahead of UConn by less than 1 point! But the KLS commitment pushes the Huskies well ahead of the pack.

The first number shows the ranking last time I printed them (beginning of the month).

In other news, #35 Aliyah Jeune has decommitted from Rutgers and is back on the market.

That means 10 of the top 25 and 22 of the top 50 are available.

She & her older sister committed together as a package deal, so it seems weird that she would decommit when her sister has already signed her LOI.

PN also reporting that Maya Benham is no longer commmitted to Louisville, which would drop the Cards from #3 to #6.

I am always a bit leery of 'class' rankings outside about the top 5 as by then you are getting into mostly some pretty moderately ranked players and HS rankings outside the top 20 become pretty much 'eye of the beholder' guess work - how well the coaching staff develops their talent becomes more important than the talent they exhibited in HS.
