I hadn’t realized Stephen F Austin joined the WAC. It should be quite the race between them and Cal Baptist. I hope their head-to-head matchups are broadcast in a way that I can watch them.

South Dakota and South Dakota State are neck-and-neck in the Summit again.

The Ladyjacks are joined by fellow former Southlanders Abilene Christian, Lamar, Sam Houston State in moving to the WAC.

Cal Baptist narrowly edged out SFA in the preseason WAC coaches' poll. Assists wizard Ane Olaeta of Cal Baptist was tabbed as preseason WAC POY. But Stephen F. Austin has its top 3 scorers back from last year as well.



SFA and Cal Baptist are scheduled to play only once in the regular season, on Jan. 29 in Nacogdoches. IIRC most or all of the WAC games are streamed live online on the so-called WAC Digital Network.

Notable that not a single player from Gonzaga was included.

Similar with Cal Baptist, the returning WAC POY was not included, but her teammate was.

Sam Houston’s stay in the WAC will be brief — they are headed to CUSA.

I hadn't realized that either. That explains why they were absent from Nicholls' Southland schedule!
