Are they stuck with them because of APR concerns? I thought I read on this board a while back that if Wolf left to play pro overseas it would be an APR hit because he had some academic issues? I'm not knocking Bradley as I was anxious to see him play but it looks like he will probably redshirt. Two years as a Husky with no playing time. That has to suck.

My issue is with the coaching staff for refusing to play them. It's unfair to them.

Especially when you get to watch Alex Sulkiakhi instead.

Calhoun was quoted as saying Bradley is still limping and that his ankle probably won't be right for the rest of the season.

So, if I'm clear, you're saying that Wolf and Bradley should play for no other reason than, "it's unfair to them" to not play. Got it.

The frontcourt stinks, give it a shot for two minutes? Maybe AO and AD get motivated.

You win some, you lose some. Be happy that Lamb turned out better than expected and hope the freshmen do the same.

so you guys just now are realizing that the ncaa 3 ship things is going to hurt us some? not ever player works out. so we got ad as a gift so we have 11 ship players for argument. those 2 spot would be 2 more guards or a big and a pg i bet. hmm things would be different if 1 of them were to pan out.

I dont really mind the idea of Wolf playing 5 minutes a game he is 7 foot 1 guy who can at least be a presence in the post unlike Drummond who floats on the perimeter or even my guy Alex who starts flailing with his left hand all the time lol.

People though Chuck was bad but he ended up being a solid contributor his senior year for us.

I believe Blaney blew it with Wolf by playing him a couple meaningless minutes during semester break. Although, I don't claim to know all the NCAA rules on that. But looks like he would have to sit out entire season vs. play in Dec 2012 - if he had transferred over break. That makes it much less likely he will transfer. Of course, no impact on going back to Europe. Ships are 1 year renewable events but given the environment Calhoun can't pull that trigger.

Wolf may not ever be a great player, but he might be able to get better in two more years.

Bradley may be on the Pitt-progression timeline (6th year senior).

Everything I've heard about Bradley has been good, it's just that same nagging injury that's keeping him sidelined.

this one post move alone of Bradley is better then anything I have seen from Oriakhi and Drummond all year long. His ankle can't be too bad if he is allowed to practice with the team. Give the kid a shot, we have nothing to lose but another game.

Oriakhi used almost that exact move in yesterday's game

Speaking to the topic of the thread, Wolf would be a significant negative on the court. Bradley would probably be getting a couple minutes per game if not for his injury. As others have pointed out, I am expecting them to try to get him 6 years of eligibility. It will be nice to have a 6'10" PF/C playing as a 6th year senior. That's a grown man playing against college kids.

If they showed something in practice they would get a little run. Everyone knew Bradley was a project. Plus he's been injured so we don't know yet. Wolf on the other hand was a desperation reach. JC thought we needed immediate help in the middle last year and was sold a bill of goods on a 7 footer from overseas. I remember comments from coach at the beginning of last year that help might be on the way when Enosch becomes eligible.

Zach, you are consistantly ridiculous with this concept. 1st, when you rag on taking recuits like this, you somehow miss the point that there wasn't anyone better asking to come on board. We didn't turn away guys either to or because we did offer these kids scholorships. Would you rather there be two less guys at practice? 2nd, we aren't Kentucky or UNC or Duke or add otheres here. We don't have a half dozen AAs every year coming to play. We will always have a 3 or 4 or more 4 year players who spend their first few seasons being practice players and occasionally mopping up in blowouts. That's how it works. They will usually be productive and contribute before they are done. Finally, not every recruit works out. Not just for us, but for everyteam.

Bottom line the idea that it was stupid to offere two kids a scholorship and an education is short sighted and more importantly, is a worthless premise considering there were not better options.

At least offer up some issues that have some merit in terms of, well, being an issue.
