8 points, 3 boards and 1 offensive board in 7 minutes. Yeah it was garbage time and they weren't difficult shots but we can dream can't we. This kid was highly rated in HS until injuries set her back.
I've never given up on her. Go Michala!

Michala looked good the little time she was in the game. Hopefully she will get stronger and continue to improve so that she will be able to contribute to the team.

She did look really good in her time last night. Hope she keeps getting stronger and improving.

I have to say, when she gets the defender on her hip, MJ is easily the fastest of the 4 bigs when it comes to pivot/face/shoot. Her step is *quick*. As long as she keeps the ball high, she can be successful against bigger and more talented players as well. Talk about a great bread&butter move. Kiah also has good quickness with that [basic] move but not as fast as MJ.

And how about Heather's nifty turn-and-shoot on the low block last night ??!? (Or maybe it was a drop step; not sure)...Can I get an "Amen" !!

Thank you, brother - verily, I say, you have seen the light
When Marvadene arrives at Pitt and casts a shadow ain't nobody going to see the light.

she knows her role... she loves Dolson and is having a great time on campus

She does seem to be loving her time at UConn. If you look at the team photo, Michala's smile is the biggest.

Hoping to see more of her on Saturday.

Last night was the first time I felt she looked comfortable in the offensive sets and she was posting strong. Previously she and Heather have often been moving to the same spot at the same time, and she has looked a little lost.

Given the quality of the opposition, it's difficult to draw any conclusions, but I have to agree: based solely on her performance last night, she deserves to be in the regular post rotation in contested games. I'm not sure it's feasible or safe to make a change like that so late in the season, but it bodes well for next year. But then it's hard to see how, even if she performs well, she can find minutes among all the front court contenders who will be present next year (assuming no injuries).

Last night was meaningless. Auriemma has said time and again that players earn playing time by how they do in practice. During the last Geno show he mentioned how detailed the practices are with every shot, make, miss, rebound etc being charted. Performers get the game time. Non performers don't.

Anybody know who was snoozing on the scorer's table during practice?

I'm getting tired of that mantra. Lots of coaches and GM's said that about Lin. Show me the beef

UCONN has a few new Wild cards come the next few games and the BE tourn.......Heather, Michala and Kiah........The new 6'3 defensive machine...........

I so hope Michala gets more and more spots in the rotation. She is a pleasure to watch, both on and off the court. She seems to always be so positive!
