Per Dom Amore.
First off, WKU is three hours from Chattanooga.
Secondly, UConn has a coach who has yet to publicly announce his return and who is 69 years old. And as of now, they won't be in the tournament next year.
It's not easy to recruit a kid to come to or stay at UConn right now.
The constant will he or won't he coach is absolutely killing us, don't understand how the man who created this program could let this happen.
i don't even know what to make of it. I guess just try to stay centered and wait till we know more. as a fan it's frustrating with the seemingly constant barrage of negative press, lack of a cohesive message coming from the staff, and worry that we will have a competitive team next year.First off, WKU is three hours from Chattanooga.

Probably in San Diego. The worst thing about all this is that somewhere Dan Wetzel and his ilk are reading these threads and whacking to them.

Doesn't anybody think that Bradley was given no choice but to pay his own way, and just decided to stick it out til the end of the year to get out of dodge? Seems pretty logical considering he was given an offer he couldn't refuse when Drummond came on board. I'd want to transfer too if I was submarined. I don't know why the surprise?
I don't think it is true to any point. He gets to go out on his own terms because he has earned that but he hasn't earned holding the program hostage while he ponders his decision. He needs to make up his mind soon or have the AD make it for him.I think that's certainly a part of it. He is a fighter and what the NCAA is doing to us has to be eating away at him, without a doubt e feels he has earned the right to do whatever the hell he wants which is true to a point, I just fear he feels he's also earned the right to name his successor. Calhoun built this and deserves the right to go out on his terms but he's wrong if he thinks it's totally his decision to decide who takes over. Calhoun has alluded to wanting our program to stay in house but the fact remains that he doesn't have a very qualified coaching tree. I just worry we could be missing out on Shaka Smart if Calhoun keeps trying to push Ollie as our next coach behind the scenes, I love KO but if it's a choice between the two picking Shaka Smart should be a no brainer. I know it's speculating but it makes a hell of a lot of sense that Shaka Smart would have serious interest in being UConn's coach.
Odd, when he came to UCONN he was high on us because he was going to major in Pharmacy and we have a great program. WKU doesn't have a Pharmacy School. I guess the major thing really wasn't important?
this was one of my questions as well, but when you lose Oriakhi, Smith and Bradley, and your post now consists of Olander and Wolf, with no one else, there's simply no depth. no matter how bad he may have been (and i'm not saying he was bad), he is 6'10" and you can't teach height or athleticism, and he apparently had both...has anyone seen michael bradley play? is he any good? maybe he realized that the big east isnt for him and that his skills are better suited for a smaller conference closer to home. i mean, most people felt that way from day 1.
Yes I did. My interest is in his interests in pharmacy.Have you not read the thread?

It is simply the uncertainty of who is going to coach. Even if Calhoun decides to stay, recruits know there will be a coaching change at some point during their four years. If they have other high major programs interested in them it is easy to rule out UConn. If I were Hayes, I would go to Georgetown and not think twice about it.
