A UConn win or tie against SMU tonight puts the Huskies into the four team AAC tournament next weekend. A loss puts them into at least a four team tie for either 3rd or 4th place, making for what would no doubt be a rather complicated tie breaker procedure for getting into the tournament.

2nd half. After Thiam hits the post, SMU goes the other way and gets a goal to make 1-1.

Still tied at end of regulation, it's going to overtime.

Game ends in 1-1 tie. The result gives UConn the 3 seed in the AAC tournament and will play Tulsa on Friday at 4:30 in Tampa, according to the AAC website at this time. However, the tie further damages any chance of an at large NCAA bid.

Nothing surprises me anymore with Ray Reid but it is damn impressive he managed to put this team on the NCAA bubble when they were a mortal lock to make it 3 games ago after beating BC. What a mess. Guy was thrilled he made the NCAA's last year because of how good this team was going to be this year. WTF?

Typical Ray these last 6-8 years
Time for a change
Need a young guy who knows how to recruit for position and plays a more north south game
