Sean Miller has no business being in the conversation. None.

Completely agree with Gottfried, Lavin and Barnes.

Barnes doesn't belong in the conversation either, for the exact opposite reason - that guy is so far beyond any kind of talent wasting coach to ever grace the sidelines of a college bball game that you almost get the feeling that he's doing it purposefully for some research project on how to hang on to your job without ever producing, against all odds.

I also can't believe that we got this far in an underachieving coaches conversation on the Boneyard without Boeheim being brought up.

Don't know where you saw this imaginary stat line for Iverson since he has a concussion and didn't even make the trip to South Dakota.
LMAO right hand to god the ESPN box score had him with that line when I was following the game online...Damn you ESPN for ruining my pristine credibility

But in any event you would figure when healthy he would have to be a factor for them, even if he isn't as good as advertised coming out of HS

In the 2011 Elite Eight, Arizona had a wide open corner 3 with time winding down. If that shot goes in, Arizona goes to the Final Four and Uconn goes home. So you're saying Sean Miller would instantly be a better coach if his player had made that shot?

It's hard to make it to the Final Four. Sean Miller will absolutely get there. He's a really good coach.
Thank you.

It is refreshing to see people with perspective on this forum

I can attest to this. Right after the game ended, ESPN had him with nothing but 2 TOs.

ESPN still trying to keep the AAC down! Where's the conspiracy cat when you need it? Last night barely a comment on the UNC scandal and nothing at all about the Cuse problem! Boeheim coach of the week, blah, blah, blah. 950 wins is a great achievement! But how many are going to be vacated BABY!!!

Meanwhile, ESPN hit every game UConn played regarding the APR issue and it began well before the final decision by the NCAA! Outside of Bilas, very little commentary about the unfairness of a retroactive penalty.

I don't believe ESPN is against UConn. It's a systemic effort to devalue the AAC and prop up the ACC because of when the two conferences contracts come up for negotiation. As I said where's the conspiracy kitty when we need it?

And the only reason Cal doesn't have 3 from the last 4 years is because of UConn. Does that make him a good coach?

They would not have beat Zona in 2011. I'm not sure they even beat Florida or MSU last year either.

You said SM does less with more; I'm saying he ran into a buzz saw and that's all there was too it. They were playing phenomenally and were one (un)lucky shot away from beating UCONN. That's not less with more.

Comparing anyone (other than K) to JC is being patently unfair to that individual. You are talking about arguably a top 5 coach of all time.

Pure speculation...that's not much of an argument.

I'm just saying, considering the amount of coaches that get to or even close to to Final Four with considerably less talent, SM hasn't taken his talent that far relative to the amount of talent he has had.

I'm not the one who brought up JC; that was pj

He has lost once to a team seeded lower than his, last year when he was the 1 seed lost to the 2 seed. 3 EEs in 9 years.

I believe he has had 7 players drafted in his entire coaching career. 3 in the first round. The 2006 Uconn team had 5 drafted, 4 in the first round, and did not make a FF.

But yea, the guy is just wasting all those NBA filed rosters he has by only going to the EE in 33% of the years he has coached. (In case you missed it I am being sarcastic)

Vindication from The Dove! Thank you for proving that I am not going crazy

Kurgan Iverson had concussion systems so he didn't make the trip. He might get run at PG. He looks to have better handles than our backcourt and played well in Canada. Tigernation is waiting on the debut on Kuran.
