Memphis freshman forward D.J. Jeffries is expected to miss 4-6 weeks with a partially torn posterior cruciate ligament in his left knee, according to Jeffries' father, Corey.
No official announcement has been made. Corey Jeffries told The Commercial Appeal surgery is not required and the hope is D.J. will be cleared to return by the postseason. Corey Jeffries added, however, even when his son gets back on the court, he will likely not be 100 percent healed. He also said the injury occurred during Thursday's practice and the diagnosis was delivered Friday.
