I think Kraker is very deserving — and she certainly deserves greater media recognition — but I would have given the slight edge for POY to Lizzy Wendell of Drake:

• Wendell: averaging 21.1 ppg on 51.1% FG, 4.5 rpg, 3.1 apg, 2.7 spg, and 1.4 a/to in 28.9 mpg
• Kraker: averaging 17.4 ppg on 53.6% FG, 3.2 rpg, 3.7 apg, 1.5 spg, and 1.3 a/to in 31.6 mpg

Well.... A Duke team that went to the Final four in 2002 lost to Toledo from the MAC.... and the 2009 squad that was a #1 seed lost to Hartford (no idea what conference they are in) .... so losing to a mid-major squad has happened before.
