As a fellow Virginian, I'm a big Megan fan. Recall a year ago that many here were speculating that she would transfer or should transfer. Megan totally bought into what Geno is preaching, worked hard over the summer, and became a valuable starter. She made very nice sophomore leap. A little more detail on her stats: 31.3 mpg, 5th on the team 12.1 ppg, 4th on the team .458 shooting, 3rd among starters (ahead of Crystal and Lou) .397 3-point shooting, tops among starters .742 FT shooting, 3rd among starters (ahead of Phee and Christyn) 6.7 rpg, 2nd behind Phee 68 assists, 5th on the team 74 TOs, 2nd on the team 37 steals, 5th (just behind Lou) Meg's post season scoring: 14, 24, 9, 16, 9, 7, 13, 14. Avg. 13.5. Meg's post-season rebounding: 10, 7, 4, 4, 7, 11, 12, 8. Avg. 7.9. Megan played mostly SG in high school. Given her size and skills, she's ideally a SF. Given our limited size after the departure of Azura, Geno played her out of position at the PF spot, out of necessity. She is strong enough, but only 6'1" at most. Meg obviously will need to continue to improve. Without Phee, Meg's rebounding will be needed more than ever. Her scoring certainly will be critical. I'd like to see her improve a few things: better hands, fewer TOs, missing fewer layups. She averaged basically 12 ppg and 7 rpg; I'd like to see her get to 15 ppg. and 8 rpg. I'd also like to see her get 80-100 assists and reduce TOs to 50 or so.
