Don't think it will be called the XFL this time. He just trade marked a new name.

I loved the XFL. In today's politically correct world, this will stand out. The mistake last time was that NBC didn't like the off field things and the level of football and McMahon's promises did not meet the expectation of the fans. I bet he gets it right this time.

If they return the game to real American
football versus the PC safe version, they will destroy the NFL. Make the teams open to public ownership , move to a streaming TV model, provide live betting through lotteries and watch it take off.

If he is really going to try this again he is going to have to do more to differentiate the product from the NFL. Funny names on uniforms and fancy camera angles were fine the first time around, but it couldn't mask the fact that what you were watching was a far inferior product on the field to The NFL.

JMO but they will need to make the game itself different, introducing major changes to play, otherwise they will forever be viewed as a cheap knock off of The NFL. Incorporate stuff from The CFL, Arena, and College. Add new interesting changes to play and possibly you might capture the public's imagination.

Would love to see something about rugby tackling rules and a different type of helmet to discourage use of launching head first hits.

1. No leaving feet for offense or defense.
2. Any head first hit is auto ejection and suspended next game. Intentional or not.
3. Varying points for FG. Line of scrimmage inside 15- 4 points, 16-infinity- 3 points. Kicks over 55 yards get the 4th point back due to skill of kicker.
4. No kickoffs, no kickoff return. Ball starts at 25.
5. No replay.
6. No minimum number of players on line of scrimmage. Everything goes, everyone is a potential receiver.

Let more than one offensive player be in motion before the snap.

Field Goal points inside 10 2 points, 10 to 20 3 points, over 20 5 points... And if you try a 50+ 7 points...
