what's even worse is that the receivers start quitting on the play eventually - it's involuntary, you just can't help it. When you have no faith that the QB is going to get you the ball, your chromosomes just don't put forth the same effort. I'm not criticizing the receivers, this is just a normal human reaction. so this is just swirling down the drain.
