Just had an interesting convo with a friend of mine about DT. IMO DT isn't 100% healthy because shes not as fluid and mobile as she was. My friend suggested it was more age that injury. I said a 100% healthy, 30 yr old DT is almost like shes 25-27. I know these players play year round and that has an impact on healing from injuries. But I still say if DT was healthy, she'd be playing lights out. But hey.......maybe I'm wrong.....or not *shrugs

I think you're both wrong. DId you see the USA v. Brazil game? First game she's played in forever, with a bunch of new teammates -- all unfamiliar with each other (hence turnovers). She shot lights out and moved like butter.

This game -- jet lag.

Yep. Dee looked great on Monday.
I agree she looked great from a shooting standpoint, but its still something I cant quite put my finger on. Maybe its the rust coming off, or maybe shes actually not 100% like she stated. idk

Yeah... I'm like which game did some of those guys watch. Even if she wasn't at 100% she still was the best player on the court. I don't know if she was 100% or not did you see how she was moving passing, shooting. She can even rest Sue and Lyndsay at the point. If she worked at it she might could become the best point guard in the world.`

If I tally it up, it would be even. I also visit 2 other sites, I'm a surfer....
Don't care about other anonymous sites. It's still 3 knowledgable posters to 1 guy with no cred.

I was amazed at the ease of her movement and the accuracy of her shot in the first game back.

Its amazing how my opinion has turned into my death. It went from me saying that DT's age has nothing to do with her limitations, to me thinking she's not as fluid, to people obviously getting upset be cause I don't see what they see. I am a fan of DT', and forever will I be entitled to my own opinion. I never said she wasn't a great player, it's just her movements are a little off TO ME. Take a chill pill guys

I think the reason people find you a little off is that Dee is widely regarded as the best player in the world. Aside from the obvious physical gifts she has and the passing and shooting, her leadership is 2nd to none, except perhaps Sue Bird. I have not seen game 2 but in game 1, not only was she the best player on the court, she was the best by a pretty wide margin. Sure Whalen scored a bunch of points, but if she's supposed to be the PG, Dee had 7 assists to her 5.

Nothing wrong with a scoring PG, but If most in the media constatnely refer to her as the best in the world, the announcers go bonkers over what she does on the court, then you don't have to take UCONN fans' words for it. I bet I could go to the L'ville board, or the Tennessee board, or even the ESPN board and find people who don't like her and will agree wtih you.

Folks are acting like I discredited her, I simply said she wasn't as fluid. I saw spots in the game where she couldn't get to her spot quick enough, maybe my television was messed up. She even looked like she grimaced a few times. I never questioned her shooting, passing, or leadership, I just simply stated an opinion. Lol I'm sure you can find others that will agree with me, and some just might be UConn fans. Just because you have an opinion about a player, doesn't mean you're not a fan. And she's still the best player in the league. But I digress

Dee has never been the fasted player, but I too was surprised at the smoothness of her game in Game 1. Today she didn't look that great but Geno was also screwing around with line-ups a lot today and everyone was recovering from a long flight yesterday and the time change.
Physically, about 4 years ago Dee changed her approach to conditioning and got really serious about taking care of her body. I think she is probably in better shape than post college and do not see any signs of her age catching up.
