...and Maya looks good in red.You have to like the nickname "Invincible Queen".
Based on the subject title, i thought perhaps Maya got into a fight with the refs, which obviously would never happen. When i saw the pictures, all i could think was that it seems women's hoops in China is almost as insane as men's soccer in Europe.
The authorities probably don't want to give too much ink to rowdy behavior. Don't want to encourage it with headlines.Interesting that outside of the 2 photos of "fans attacking the refs", there was no mention of this in the game story!
Forget Maya's moniker. The Chinese players have some amusing names from an English and Russian point of view. Yu Dong in English is practically the same as Ma Xueya in Russian, except for the direction the finger would be pointing.Perhaps some of our linguists might explain her new moniker?
Usually the Amurican name "sounds-like" something in Chinese and that translates back to English. We all know Maya was the Queen or - according to Geno?<G>, the Princess.
...I wonder if the Chinese appease the masses with T shirts shot out of air guns????
Didn't Katharine Hepburn star in the movie of that name? You have to like the nickname "Invincible Queen".
Yeah.....what msf22b said. " But the other side of the picture is that public disorder is to be discouraged at all costs, therefore no explanation,"Then why publish 2 pictures?
African, but close enough.Didn't Katharine Hepburn star in the movie of that name?
Remember also that in Spanish Tina = bathtub and Diana = "morning call" (reveille).Forget Maya's moniker. The Chinese players have some amusing names from an English and Russian point of view. Yu Dong in English is practically the same as Ma Xueya in Russian, except for the direction the finger would be pointing.
LMFAO!
