Moore said she was totally caught off guard when she got the call, because she thought if she was selected she’d find out in May. She said she feels like she can contribute a lot to the team.

“Passion, intensity, and a willingness to do all the little things championship teams need to win,” Moore said. “Whether it’s scoring the ball, setting a great screen, or getting a key rebound.”

Maya is great because she backs up her talk about "passion, intensity, and a willingness to do all the little things" with an actual willingness to do them every single play throughout a game.

Just watched again the great Geno does an imitation of Maya video...hilarious....

Even when she was a two-time NPOY and well on her way to a third at the collegiate level.

I miss Maya... she was awesome, damn she was great!

Maya was a treasure. We all miss her.

The team has an opportunity to show what they can do on their own, without Maya. Let's finish the business from last season.

Thanks for posting that video, Huskyniner, I missed that one somehow! Great for Maya to be an Olympian, and well deserved. It will be great to see her, the other Huskies, and the rest bring home the Gold!

Yes, great video, and much congratulations to Maya. Well deserved kid.
