Pretty disastrous 2nd half, tho. Minny got blown out in the 2nd half. outscored like 50-33. i get taking your foot off the gas pedal, but that's a miserable half.

Yet they still won. The only undefeated team left in the W.

Like the game at Washington, Minnesota gave up a lead of over 20 and nearly lost. But they did just enough to get the win.

I like Minnesota's bench players, but San Antonio's bench players scored 48 points. Yikes! Kia Perkins, Shenise Johnson, and Danielle Adams are really good reserves.

Maya had low numbers in the game against the Sun. My guess is that she was sick.

my vey biased observation: the offense got maya a lot of touches in the 1st half then stopped going to her as much in the 2nd: look what happens. Admittedly the 3rd quarter absence was bc Maya got called for three quick fouls.

The coach is the one that took her foot of the gas in my opinion. Reeve is an adequate coach and I try to give coaches the benefit of the doubt because we don't know their intent behind decisions, but some of her substitution patterns have been baffling. Reeve team out of its rhythm with some ill-fitting substitution and once you introduce chaos finding that rhythm again isn't so easy.

Maya needs to demand the ball. If she demands the ball then her teammates will feed her the ball. She is too good not to be a focal point of the offense. Maya has a very unselfish nature and I would like to see a more selfish side of her. Show me your DT!

absolutely! why when they were struggling, the ball kept being sent to others when she was so on fire boggled me.

Hopefully, she'll develop that slightly selfish edge that produce competitive superstars!

BUT worried that will be tough with SA and LW both on the team.

I agree. Moore is better than LW but I think she is walking a tight wire in that situation. It is tough for her to be more selfish with such an established player. Moore is in an interesting situation. I am sure that there are times when she would prefer (and should be) to be the go-to player but there are two ahead of her who have assumed that role. Nobody is bigger in the clutch than Maya.

Or, para espanol, press primero uno:

La Maya, ennnnn fuegaaaaaaaaahhhhh !!!!

[sort of like the "GOOOOOOOOOOOAAALLL!!!!" commentator in the soccer world]

Maya with long hair and eye shadow--lookin' good.

"Representing"--as only she can do.

Great video! Really enjoyed it - thanks for posting.

"Hi, I'm Maya Moore, and I'm a guard for the 2012 US Olympic basketball team.
