Best freshman. Ever! Finished 2nd in the AP POY voting. After a 3-year drought, Maya got us back to the Final Four. We haven't missed since.

You turn the ball over? No problem, Maya will steal it back.

Miss a shot? Watch Maya tip it in while still in the air.

Running the break? Find Maya and throw her a bounce pass or lob.

Shot clock running down? Find Maya. That quick release will nail a jumper.

Down by several points late in the game? Get Maya the ball at the arc.

Those highlights show several things: She's always running. She plays heads up. She can play very blue collar. Her quick rise and jumper is deflating to the opposition. She made a career's worth of circus shots in that one year alone. She was the best player on the floor night in and night out.
