"May Madness"? Uncertainty and a season on the brink

I came across this article on ESPN, and although its focus is MCBB, its implications surely extend to the women's game.

Pitino advocates for later start, 'May Madness'

Iona coach Rick Pitino tweeted Saturday that college basketball should create "May Madness" and move the Nov. 25 start to accommodate the multitude of delays and challenges numerous teams have faced amid COVID-19.

Yup. Things do NOT seem to be getting better, covid wise. Worse every day.

My feeling is things are not going to get any better by delaying the start of the season. Plus it would give the "bubble" concept a chance to be tried out early on to see if that could be the answer going forward.
