Interesting to see where what schools the players are choosing. Oregon has 4, Stanford 3, UConn 2, Louisville 2 Notre Dame 1 Maryland 1
Lady Vols did not have a player make any of the teams.

Hailey Van Lith (Louisville )which many compared to Paige is on the 6th team. She was a member of USA U19 team with Paige. ESPN has her as the 8th ranked player.

So PaoPao is 1st team but #33 on ESPN while Hailey Van Lith is 8th team on MaxPrep while #8 on ESPN.

I think the article gives some insight to why Van Lith is on the sixth team by implying that her school primarily played against weaker competition in Washington. I’d have to agree with that assessment to place her on a lower team despite what she’s accomplished elsewhere purely based on who she was tested against in high school competition.

MaxPreps' All-American Teams have historically given a lot of weight to high school team results, so top recruits on top-ranked HS teams tend to move up the ranks, while recruits on weaker teams tend to perform more poorly. Note, for example, that in 17-18, Max Preps had Lexie Hull on its first team after her HS team won the HS national championship, while ONO was only third team, even though ONO was ranked 4th and Hull 14th. And last year, Cameron Brink was on the second team whereas this year she was on the third team; she didn't get worse as a player, but she transferred to a much less competitive HS for her senior season.

Even more than other rankings, this list is not geared toward ranking who will be a top college player but is more geared toward rewarding who were the best HS players.

Noticed Madison Hayes that MIss St stole from the Lady Vols. Madison lives approx 60 miles from Knoxville.
