These scores are compared to my expectations, not in terms of absolute performance. So they might not make the most sense to someone with different expectations than I had Mahaney D-. The good is that he can bring the ball up and does not turn it over. The improvements needed are that he needs to learn the offense so he can make quick decisions to get the offense going, including his own Ball B-. He’s one of our few bright spots with scoring and shooting, but doesn’t give much else. Defense is very bad, and he doesn’t do much in terms of making plays for others McNeeley C. Great shooting and smart player, but that Dayton performance drags his score down a lot. Willing to chalk it up to injury and I think it will be an outlier. He can’t stay in front of his man but actually does a decent job recovering and walling up Karaban B. I want to give him lower because of his Colorado performance and I expected him to expand his game and take over. So far his scoring arsenal seems very similar to last year, not the expansion I expected. But he is our best player with an average of 20 PPG minus Colorado Samson F. Good game against Dayton but really disappointed here Diarra B+. The offense is visibly much better with him running it, but agree on a lot of questionable decisions to go with it. Also agree 6th man spark plug is his best role, but he is being forced to step up with Mahaney struggling. Good job doing that this week Tarris C. This would be an A++ if he played all week like he did against Memphis, but was nearly invisible against Colorado and Dayton. I see a LOT of potential here Stewart A-. Solid play when he got minutes. Not sure why he didn’t get more Ross D-. Pretty invisible Nowell B. Not enough minutes to be super impactful but he is our best defender. This is higher than his total performance should be, but he’s overperforming my expectations. If he can find a scoring groove and can hit open threes, he should get major minutes Singare B. Defaulting him to a B. Didn’t get any minutes to prove anything, but I thought he looked decent against Colorado
