I'd be shocked if we do that well. I have to think anything over .500 would be considered a very successful season. I haven't looked closely enough at our competition (who they lost compared to last year) to gauge how we "should" do, but this is an easy year to predict we might not make it to .500

If reading correctly, 6 BE teams for next year in top 25 per this. That's a lot. That would be a pretty good BB conference at the top if true.

18-10 sounds about right for this team - it's probably erring on the optimistic side a bit, but it's certainly conceivable. You'd expect them to go 10-2 or 9-3 in the OOC slate, and then about .500 in a league that may not be quite as strong this season. I'd expect this team to have a top four back court and a bottom four front court in the Big East, so that's about a wash. Deandre's development on the wing is essential - we absolutely have to get more production from that spot than we did last season. If Nolan can develop at a quicker pace than expected, I think this will be a good team. The ability to play three guards who can pass, score, and handle the ball is an advantage not to many teams will have, and that will be invaluable late in games, especially in hostile environments. Should be a fun season.

That would be #6 in BE (and #25 nationally). Slight upgrade from the other #9 in BE rankings???

Looking at the scores it says we should be in a tone of close games. It has us beating NC State and losing by one to Louisville. I would take these results any day. This would be a great year for this team and would get Ollie the long term contract for sure.

18-10 is about what I have too. Actually I had 18-12 but I think he left out the 2 unknowns in the Paradise (which of course makes sense). I assumed 2 -1 in that tourney but without knowing who we play its a complete guess though the field is not exactly NCAA final four caliber either. I also have us losing to NC State and beating Seton Hall for what its worth. Allowing for some team to be better than expected and assuming none are worse I think 18 is realistic if a tad optimistic. 16-14 should be the worst case and less than .500 would be unacceptable in my eyes.

Given the relative weakness of the Big East this year, and the not overly challenging non-conference schedule I have to think that that over .500 is very realistic and it is why I have been saying that UConn can't go 10-20 and have people say everything is great. To me, looking at it realistically, they really should finish above 15-15.
