Maryland was a little tougher than I thought they would be, probably because of their unimpressive schedule. I thought they played hard and did themselves proud, a worthy opponent IMO. Even Brenda impreessed me; didn't whine [too much] to the refs considering a couple of questionable calls went against the Terps.

After watching the game for a 3rd time, Terps played a very physical game. Huskies took foot off accelerator, and looked to conserve energy.

Or they were tired, playing without subs. I guess we'll find out Tuesday night.

Maryland's guards are good. They lose only Mincy, so the Terps should be a top team again next year.

I think what I take out of the Maryland effort also is the superiority of the ACC over the rival SEC..... SEC folks like to put their conference forth as being top shelf..... but after no final 4 entrants since 2008 until SC's showing this year..... I question their brand of hoops..... SC with all their talent, looked disheveled in terms of strategy...... they shouldn't have lost to ND.... at least they should have gotten a shot off in the final seconds...... The ACC, with MD, UNC, Fla St, and Duke, are pretty good as a conference...... at least compared to the SEC.... perhaps next year, Tenn, USC, LSU etc will make a run..... they should know that the ACC has surpassed them, and the Pac 12 is catching up!
