I think Marshall is my second favorite player to watch right now. Williams is right up there, too. I'll tune in to help root GT on to victory but my money is on MD.

I assume the Williams you reference is Elizabeth Williams?

I agree she is exciting to watch

Sittjng here at the coliseum in my Duke shirt, pulling for the yellow jackets. Plenty of red clad turtles are spilling in

Sad that Tech doesn't have many fans. I tried to get my son to support them but Tech is a football and baseball school. The only time I know they have a good turnout for womens basketball is when UConn came to town, and of course their hated rival georgie.

Marshall putting the team on her back down the stretch. She is a great athlete.

Thanks for pointing out how great of shooting motion she has..... I really was focused on her shots today. And yeah.... its as sweet as I've seen in a long while. I knew she was a good player... she was ACC freshman of the year last year over Thomas of Maryland.... but I guess I'd forgotten how good she really was.

One would expect to see Ms Marshall on all the preseason All American lists next season. There could be as many as 4 First Team All Americans out of the ACC next season. Add Chiney, Brittany, Odyssey, Skylar, and EDD, it only leaves room for one more.

They are renovating their on campus arena this year... and had to play all their home games at the Gwinett Arena about 45 minutes from campus. I was looking at some of their home attendance figures and it was beyond pathetic. For example... their home game attendance vs North Carolina A&T was 831. vs Duke it was 908...... and vs Maryland it was 745 !!!!! Its not like Tech is a bad team... they are a top 20 team... and have made the NCAA's for the past 5 or 6 years.... 745 people in a 12,000 + seat arena . For the year.. they averaged 1,042 per home game... im surprised its that high.

It doesn't help that the male to female ratio is about 3 to 1. But even when the Alexander Memorial Coliseum was open, attendance at womens games was anemic. they average more for volleyball than basketball.
