The Red Sox really blew it when they didn't clinch a few days earlier. It would have allowed them to skip Pomeranz and Sale both of whom look to have tired arms. Pomeranz has lost 2-3 mph off his fastball and some snap off his curve ball and Sale isn't hitting his spots.
I don't get the Devers move. He hits lefties fine.If they wanted to play Marrero bring him in the 9th for defense with a lead but this Sox lineup can't afford a dead spot against the Astros. The bat plays first but apparently Farrell thinks differently.

Keuchel looked very hitable in the early innings and they still couldn't get to him. The Astros lineup is just better.
