29-Min. 4-Pts. 6-Reb. 3-Ast. 0-Stl 2-Blk. 1-TO
Probably one he'll be ready to move on from. It happens. Still had some impactful moments and played good D. Had a really nice spin move on the run... have seen a few times in recent games and it looks pretty fluid. Always feel better when he's on the floor even if his shot isn't falling. #Legend

Solid game on both ends. His two blocks were what stood out to me, he's so quick and athletic for his size. The TO's the past few games need to be addressed. I like the 13/9 line but still think we haven't even come close to seeing his best yet.

Needs some consistency coached into him and clean up some of those TO's. Even a decent game to piggy-back on the last one probably would've locked-up BE Freshman of the Week, may not happen after this one. Liked the shot volume, just wasn't falling. The ones that did looked good though.

Solo Ball

He's been looking more like a pro the past few games. His arsenal of moves to the basket and mid-range jumpers seems to be getting more expansive. Shot 1-5 from three but still ended up going 6-12 overall. That's a good sign that he can still find ways to score when his three isn't falling. Three offensive rebounds is good to see as well. Has scored 17,17 & 26 in his three Big East games and has moved into the Top 10 (#9) in the Big East in scoring at 15.5 ppg

Silas Demary Jr.

4-5 FG and 3-3 from deep. 3-4 FTs. A step in the right direction offensively and looked solid on D except for the fouls which will ding his grade. This felt like a stepping stone game for him and think were about to see him start to put all the pieces together.

Swagger! The game just looked better with him on the court today. Knew we were in for a show early on when he dunked it so hard that he ended up on his a$%. Flashed some solid D, athletic finishes and looks like the best passer on the team.

Excellent production and crashed the boards on both ends (3-OREB). If he plays like this every game, the 1-2 punch at Center is going to be an issue for the opposition. Nice to see him bounce back after not having much impact against X. Was hoping his three went in, would've gotten an A+ on offense.

Pre-holiday break Malachii, where are you? Looks a little uncomfortable out there the past couple games. Not worried about it from our senior 6th-man, he'll pull it back together when it's needed.

Game Balls - J. Stew
I totally agree with your assessment. I had it at a C game. Crazy that a C game still gets us such a margin of victory.

First time I'm giving them a worse grade than you. Hvae usually agreed with these grades 98%.
Karaban: C worse grade
Reed: B+ same grade
Mullins: C- worse grade Turnovers, inefficient, shot selection and defense not great
Ball: A- same grade
Demary: B+ better grade
Stewart: A same grade
Reibe: B worse grade turnovers and free throws
Smith: D worse grade pounds the ball WAY too much and kills our flow. And FTs.

Team Grade C-

Ball and Stewart were the best today and they have seen a lot of battles at this point. Loved their maturity.

I'm honestly a little confused by the Mullins shot selection comments. I did not have an issue with any of his shots. Even the deep heat check was okay with me, and it was just a little long. Pretty much all of his shots were right there. It happens. The turnovers were sloppy, but I think it was an anomaly since we haven't seen those type of turnovers from him. The D is a work in progress, but he'll get there.

This was our annual lull post-new years game. Feel like it happens every year. We were fortunate we were playing such a poor team and could coast with playing our C- game.

I liked the fact that he took a high volume of shots, and liked most of his shot selection, they just weren’t falling. That being said, his shots that do go in, looked good.

Mullins has a green light. Comments from recruitment were his range was the gym so once and awhile he will toss up a distance 3. Probably makes 1 of 3 of those.

Everyone is going to take a bad shot or two. People were upset that they didn't go in. Nobody minds when he heats up and scores 8 points in 30 seconds, which he has done a coupleof times this year already. I mean, Solo's 3's leave something to be desired, AK's half-court 3's are eh, hell, Tarris getting the ball at the top of the key and trying to be Embiid is gross. But it's part of our offense, and it works enough.

He hadnt hit any shots, then he hits his first 3 pointer. Your next shot should not be an insane heat check shot. Back up your make with another good look.

Personally? Yawn. Dude has great range. He's already shown, in more than one game, a propensity to cook in extremely short bursts. He was open, and he just backrimmed it. It was a deep look, but we know he has that range. AK takes the deep trailing three all the time, and Solo has shown a knack for taking the heat check as well. I have zero issue with guys letting it fly if they are starting to feel it. It's not like it's Malachi pulling up from 27

Exactly. Like a microwave that has burst into flames. Waves of points in seconds. I wish he was going to be here longer. Stay healthy Braylon. Pretty soon you'll be firing up shots in the stretch run.

Nah.. The coaching staff hates when Karaban takes those deep threes. Tom Moore said it again after Marquette. Hitting one 3 pointer isnt feeling it and youre always going to be open from 30 feet. We need to take good shots so we can start hitting a higher percentage. Of the top 5 teams in torvik the effective fg%:
Michigan - #4
Purdue - #11
Uconn - #50
Arizona - #20
Vanderbilt - #7
