Congrats to them. I still strongly believe we are the better team. Sure they’ve looked great, but both games against them we had high double digit leads. I know we blew the first, but we showed in the second game that we aren’t likely to do it again. I think we match up very well with them and would love to see them in the BET

Shaka was such a good pick up for them. I still can’t imagine him coaching for Texas. He wears their colors well. Kudos.

To be picked 9th in the preseason BE poll and be only 1 of 5 schools without a single player from the transfer portal and to lose two good players in Daryl Morsell and Justin Lewis and still manage to win the BE regular season title is a great accomplishment. Shaka is a shoe in for BE coach of the year

He’s a great coach! He put VCU on the map….his defensive HAVOC is still celebrated. They sell out each and every game…all started with Shaka. Understand why he went to TX but he belongs at Marquette. Well you done!

I was worried in January when Xavier was hot and Miller was the frontrunner. Him winning any coaching accolades just feels wrong.

I can definitely live with Shaka getting it instead.
